Introduction

I've been a personal trainer for almost 20 years now and love that I get to utilizing my knowledge and experience to help others along their journey. During our sessions we’ll talk about nutrition & hydration, past injuries & muscular imbalances, gut health, inflammation, your motivational factors, and how it all works together. It sounds like a lot but when we break it down you’ll find that it’s not as complicated as you may have thought. During this process we’ll put together a plan specific to your needs and keep you progressing towards your goals. With every client it is my goal to empower you with as much information as possible so you have the tools to do it all on your own if/when you choose to do so. For our first meeting I like to put new potential clients through an easy workout to get a feeling for where they're at and also so they can get a feel for my style and energy. This is a complimentary workout/consultation. I work with clients outdoors in various parts of the Portland area... at their jobs, homes, and any other locations that we have access to. All you have to do is show up with a yoga mat and water and I'll have all the equipment set up and waiting for you. If this sounds like something that you're looking for, don't hesitate to reach out to me via this site or ********** to set up a free workout/consultation. unfold fold
We get together for a free workout and go over your goals, health issues, past injuries, etc so I can formulate the proper plan for you to consistently progress while we work together. This initial workout allows me to see your mechanics, fitness level, and also allows you to get a feeling for my training style. Everybody wins!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My first job out of college was as a Personal Trainer at a big box gym. I wasn't sure how I felt about the sales aspect but I soon realized that that because of my knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile, the rest would just fall into place. Now I'm oh so thankful that I stuck with and get to do this as a profession.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with every type of client. From high level executives, young athletes, those who despise exercise, weight loss clients, sport specific clients, and those who just want to feel better and be a higher functioning human. Working with anyone who is motivated and willing to work hard is always a blessing no matter what their end goal is.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I had a client recently who wanted to work with me for 6 months with the purpose of losing weight and increasing his energy to be able to play with his kids. He lost 80lbs in those 6 months and is not only functioning better as a parent but is also performing better at his job because of his increased self confidence and motivation to progress.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would recommend making sure your trainer has at least 5 years experience. I'm not saying that trainers without the experience aren't good trainers... I'm just saying that if someone is still training after 5 years then they must be creating results for their clients otherwise they wouldn't still be in business. There is a very high turnover rate in this industry because sub par trainers just don't go the distance.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Am I willing to make the time... Am I willing to work hard... Am I willing to be consistent between workouts...
